TYPE-A CONTAINTER FOR TRANSPORT OF PET RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS
This re-usable Type A container is designed and tested according to the IAEA Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material TS-R-1 (ST-1, As Amended 2003).
The packing exists of a 15 litre plastic container, which is closed by a easy to use lid. In this way the container can be opened and closed with just a quarter-turn. The exterior dimensions of the plastic container are: Diam. 338 mm, height 297 mm.
In the plastic container you will find an Expandable Polypropylene (EPP) insert which is holding a 1,0 litre tin sheeted drum, which is closed by a lid with a sliding ring, sealed by a foam ring. In this tin sheeted drum a lead container of 30mm wall thickness is placed for shielding of the liquid radio-active contents. The total weight of the packing is 10,5 kg.
